DriveCon stands for a lot more than 20 years of competence in the field of electrical engineering
The foundation stone for the successful development of DriveCon GmbH was laid on 16 March 2001: Graduate engineer Ralf Weisenseel (Dipl.-Ing./Managing Director) founded the company together with the two partners Graduate engineer Günter Kimmelmann (Dipl.-Ing. (FH)) and Wolfram Koßner. On 1 April 2001, operation started for real and DriveCon commenced business.
Michael Weisenseel (Dipl.-Ing. (FH)) has been working at DriveCon since 2008 and Andreas Weisenseel (Dipl.-Ing. (FH)) since 2013. In 2016, two partners joined the management team to add new life to it. In mid-2018, Günter Kimmelmann transferred his shares in the company to the two partners. On 1 January 2019, Michael and Andreas Weisenseel were appointed joint managing directors and formed a well-oiled "management trio" with Ralf Weisenseel. This ensures that DriveCon remains a family-run company in the future and can continue its success story: in 20 years, the company has grown from a small 3-man operation to a firmly established engineering office for electrical equipment with around 30 employees.

From the very start, DriveCon specialised in electrical planning according to HOAI and the design, software development, hardware documentation (such as schematics), commissioning and construction supervision of complex electro-technical systems. We perform the planning and construction of energy supply, drive, information, control and automation systems to the greatest satisfaction of our customers. We mainly feel at home in the hydraulic steel construction, bridge, system and special machine construction segments and warehousing and conveyor technology. Until now, we have been able to convince both national and international companies, including public contractors, of the advantages and benefits of our services. Whether for a new construction project or the modernisation of an existing system, we provide you with a full range of support for your project, from the initial idea through to commissioning to the rectification of faults.

The ship lift at the Three Gorges Dam in China was awarded the Ulrich Finsterwalder Engineering Prize 2017. DriveCon was responsible for the planning of the electrical equipment.
