The compact process controller runs on a PLC, but still performs the tasks of a large controller – without the need for an industrial PC. This allows you to control your processes conveniently over a touch panel and continue do so for years without having to perform any irritating software updates.

Flexibility of a large system for small installations

Part of our process control is a freely editable recipe management, which enables you to create new recipes or change existing ones at any time – without any knowledge of programming. The specially developed recipe wizard supports the user and guides them through the recipe creation process step-by-step. The wizard provides an option for creating all the necessary steps and then selecting and parameterising the elements required for each step. Or alternatively, you can use an existing recipe as a template.

 

As soon as you have loaded a recipe into the controller and started it, the step chain visualisation makes sure that you always keep the individual processes in view. Selecting the respective step allows you to view all the parameters and edit them live. For each step, appropriate symbols indicate which transitions (transition conditions) have already been met for starting the next step.

 

Changes can be made for future steps, but also for ones that are already running, so that you can make all short-term adjustments needed at any time. If these optimisations are already tried-and-tested, our system offers an option to incorporate the adjustments into the original recipe at the end of the process. This eliminates the need to transfer the parameters you have changed manually, which saves you time and money.

 

The software also allows you to log all recipe adjustments and operator interventions. You can document the sequence of steps, and any error messages. This means information does not get lost and you always have your system under control.

 

All of these functions are available to you even though no industrial PC is used. Instead, we use durable, industry-standard control systems. In contrast to the PC version, you do not need to perform any Windows updates, which means there are no compatibility problems with the control software. The software can run on the PLC without any need for intervention for several years. It goes without saying that add-ons or adjustments can still be made at any time though. Our process control system even allows you to run test recipes on small systems, so nothing stands in the way of new ideas.
